Well i dont habe a locker in my jk but ive had front locked diffs before. I am a fan. A selectable locker is prefered in my eyes. The fact that t splits the torque equally reduces shock to the components

Right now I'm on 35s on 3.21s with a manual. I've been reading up on 5.13s or 5.38s since there is always the chance of going up to 37s. I know that a locker makes the axles stronger cuz they can't spin independently (I think) and many have said that the time to get a locker is when you upgrade gears.

Very true!! I put a Detroit Truetrac in my d30, when I changed gears to 5.13's.. I am not going to get a 44axle .. so they need to find a good home

Ive had electric and ive had automatic. Ive never owned a jeep with an ARB but i have worked on a few i liked the electric, thought it was simple and reliable. Didnt care for the auto locker as much. It made the steering tight. I wasnt a fan of the ARB because ive seen many air line issues. But after looking into the build of the ARB thats what i would go with. That shit is strong and I would deal with the air lines just for the strength. From what ive seen the jk doesnt seem to have an electric locker that is comparable.

Thanks Brandon, good info... I like Detroit lockers and the TERA44 and PR44 will accept those types since they make different housing for the rubi swap and all others.. I would either go with a TrueTrac again or maybe Detroit E-locker.. I know how a Truetrac drives.. just don't know how a full locker drives

If I was in your shoes, and was going to go upgrade i would def do a selectable locker over the tru trac. This is my reasoning.
If you do any driving in 4 hi on the road like in snow or such i think it is easier without fighting a locker. You would still have you factory bld function that would act like a lsd. Then if you needed it you could flip a switch and boom. Front locked.
Secondly. I used to eun some tighter trails and when i had a auto locker in 4lo it sucked trying to weave in and out of the obstacles. A selectable locker woulde been more ideal for that situation.
    Just my experience
