Yea it is extremely easy to replace, and have been told if you disconnect the battery that will reset the abs lights as well. But I have not tried this to confirm or deny it.

And you didn't remove the wheel right?

I need to do this to one of my front wheels, not sure which one.

BTW - here are the Part Numbers

    Front: 68003281AA
    Rear: 52125003AB

No after you replace the sensor. The computer has to communicate with the sensor to clear the code I belive

After you replace the sensor you can disco the battery for 10 minutes and it will clear your ABS light and code. As well as clearing PCM memory

How did you guys figure out if it was the front or rear sensors and driver or passenger side? I took mine to advanced or auto Zone (I forget which) they put it on the computer and it didn't show any codes but my abs ESP bas lights are on.

Great write up by the way!!

I'm positive it's one of my fronts because i was in a head on collision a few months ago and after i got the jeep back, these codes were lighting up my dash. I just don't know which one, altho i got a feeling it could be the side with the most damage... But if it's this ez to do, i'll pull them one at a time.

I am not sure about the front sensors .... this is the rear. But I cant imagine it being any harder than this. But the part numbers for the front sensors are different

You have to remove the wheel and rotor to get to the sensor on the front and it uses a 8mm hex to remove.

Ran out and snapped a pic of the fronts - doesn't look like i can get them out without takng the tire and rotor off unless anyone has any advice!

maybe i can wiggle an 8mm wrench in there and inch it back and forth lol - what a pain in the ass!!

Any chance you remember what your code was? I got U1417. Says its for left side but doesn't say front or rear.
