How to Video: Diff Oil Change and Cover Replacement (Teraflex and Lube Locker)

This short video is a "How To" for changing gear oil in the rear differential of a 2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler and install a heavy duty Teraflex cover using a Lube Locker seal. Follow Jeep's recommended maintenance schedule but if you wheel your Jeep, it is recommended to change it every 15,000 miles or after the axels have been submerged in water for a prolonged period of time.

    Thanks guys
Hoping it will save someone $. A DIY is quick and painless and will cost you only a fraction of what the dealer wants. (I was quoted $100 for each)

Nice job on the video. I couldn't tell in the video, but please be aware that if your Jeep has a limited-slip differential (LSD) in the rear, that a special additive is needed for the oil. This is as good a place as any to include the recommended fluids for all differentials variations seen on JK's.

Front (D30) - MOPAR Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 80W-90) (API GL-5) or equivalent. (MOPAR Part Number 4874468)

Rear/Front (D44) - MOPAR Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 80W-90) (API GL-5) or equivalent. (MOPAR Part Number 4874468) For trailer towing, use MOPAR Synthetic Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 75W-140) or equivalent. Models equipped with Trac-Lok™ require an additive. (Mopar Part Number 4874469)

It's also worth noting that there are many aftermarket equivalents available such as AMSOIL, Mobil1, Royal Purple, etc. I'll let other chime in on those products.
