I also got the cobra 75 and a firestick, i think. I got it as a whole package from this website:
    http://www.cooltechllc.com/jeep/jk_ultramount.shtml

Only problem for is that the versa mount does not work with my year wrangler(damn rounded edges). Need to talk some more with them to either get my money back for the versa mount or have them send me a solution. Or I will just figure something else out myself.

Tip: when you wire your CB, it is better to do it directly to your battery. This way you get a cleaner power source and you can power your CB while your jeep is turned off.

I had originally wanted to do it above the rear view mirror, but decided against that. I have the daystar dash top panel and love using that as a sunglasses stand, I put this rubber no-slip material so nothing sitting on it slides off. I was toying around with different ideas to mount the CB. I don't think I have seen anyone do it the way I did it, or had a daystar panel as well.

Anyways, I think it turned out great. It's very sturdy and easily removable if I need it to be. I'm pretty impressed with myself on this one. I cut a small opening on the back of the Daystar panel so the red/black power wires could rest under with no pinching. I spliced the power to the cigarette lighter, my dad's friend who does a lot of car wiring as a job said there would be no overload on the outlet and could charge a phone and use the CB at the same time with ABSOLUTELY no problems (which I was glad to hear). I fished the coaxial cable through the passenger side roll bars and through the tailgate, made it pretty clean. No issues. Pretty easy install, and I was worried about doing it before the fact! got my "do-it-yourself" confidence much higher.

Got my CB (Uniden PRO520XL) Installed Last night, turned out great. One of the guys who helped is like freakin MacGyver and figured out a great way to mount it. Use the existing hole where my HardTop hardware used to go. It's at an angle which will make it easier to see, doesn't cover my dome light, and has such a low profile I don't even see it through the rear view mirror.

I plan on doing a write up tomorrow and will post it.

yeah, I was going to wire mine up also but ran out of time doing other things before my road trip so I had to pay this guy to do it. I trust him with the work also and he is very good. He actually attached the power to the 115V outlet in my jeep and everything is housed right under my cupholders. Works very well. Did not even need to tune it. Only problem I have found though, when i turn on my outlet nobody can hear me because my antenna is getting to much power. Oops lol. At somepoint I will most likely rewire it. But for now I am too lazy lol.
