Jeep people and those that don't understand. I purchased my Wrangler last summer and couldn't wait to start working on it. I started with lift and rims and tires.
Then I had to regear so I did that and when you make one mod it will cost you more then just those parts. Thankfully a local place called specialty Jeep did the gear install and it was cheaper then the dealership.
Now here comes the fun.

I have a few more parts on the way and will post when I get them.

Axe and Shovel Mounts https://www.jkfreaks.com/forums/showthread.php?21627-Axe-and-Shovel-Mounts&goto=newpost Thu, 25 May 2017 19:36:12 GMT I own the Smittybilt defender cargo rack that I highly recommend. Wanted to attach an axe and shovel. Mount is advertised to hold both but I didn't like this setup so I ordered a second mount. The axe and shovel are both mounted on the upper section. I placed a wood rod about 3" long for the bottom area to squeeze against. NOTE, if you own the Defender Rack, be absolutely sure to order the D8135 mount....not the 8005. I am showing one picture so you can see what those "end brackets" are for. I couldn't tell just looking at the ad photos. Shovel is an original WWII Finish Infantry Shovel I found on Amazon. No plastic.

This is be more of a daily driver than a rock crawler. I will occasionally go off road, but I’m quite happy with the less difficult trails.

What I have to date:
2017 JKU Sport S
Automatic 5 speed
Hardtop
Connectivity Group
255/75R17

Minor mods so far
Antennex Stubby 13”
Stone & Bug Deflector - that flat windshield sure collects bugs!
Rugged Ridge Dash Multi-Mount - works great with my iPhone

What to do next?

I’m really considering going 33s and keeping things simple. I may change my mind later, we’ll just have to wait and see. To avoid dealing with a lift kit at this time I’m thinking going with flat flares.

Bushwacker Flate Style Fender Flare Kit
Pro Comp 33x12.5R15 tire
American Racing Baja 15x8 wheel with 3.75 backspace

Now am I going down the right track or making a mistake? ]]>
