No it doesn't, all it does is interrupt the circuit until its reset by shutting down and restarting.. once the switch is turned off of course..

Lots of great info on this thread! I just went out and checked my loom and boy, have they got thing all wrapped up tight! I sure would like to know how you guys did it in 10 minutes! It looks like there's a lot of unwrapping and rewrapping of the loom and little to no room to work under the dash! Are most of you removing the inside of the center console or doing it right under the dashboard?

Thought I would add I have done the 2016 tonight and same wire outlined in the thread. When you break the circuit (used a push button) these lights come on.

Modification Button - note ABS light on

Normal - Use the normal Off button you get this - note "NO" ABS light and different light with "off" under it.

The button. I have a Painless Trail Rocker power management system so mounted on the panel they supply

Does anyone know if the same color wire is used on the 16 models? Just installed the switch now to wire it up! Thanks for any help.

Great mod. If I disable esp / abs would I be able to run auto locker (Detroit or lunchbox style) in rear axle on my 2012 automatic or would it still go into limp mode?
