    Is your Clockspring going bad?

Have a good amount of people inquiring about clocksprings so I figured I'd post our price up

    Clockspring Part Number 5156106AC
    - Lists for $269.85
    - JKFreaks price $192.50

If you have the airbag light on in your dash and/or if you cant use your horn you may need to look into replacing your clockspring. I know a number of Freaks have had to replaced theirs and could give you tips on the install.

Thanks again you guys and happy wheeling!

Check to make sure it isn't under a recall, warranty, or extended warranty first.

I inquired about mine when it went out, dealer gave me a price...coincidentally a week later I got a letter from Chrysler about an extended warranty on the clock spring.
Clean on the inside, mud on the outside. I can't see my paint job!

Yes I forgot to post that but I would certainly check with your local dealer first to see if it is covered under warranty

Does this also attribute to the clock losing time?

    What's a warranty? haha

Seriously though. No issues on mine. If it goes bad, I'll do it myself. Good to know it's available and tips/info can be found here.

    35,600 miles (warranty over soon).

Speedo went to zero, traction light, abs light, and ebrake light all came on and heard a chime about 2 times. This occured ten times. Took it in, the replaced the wireless control module. Afterwards the low tire pressure liggt was constantly on. They had to reprogram the tire pressure sensors to the control module. All was fine.

Since then I wired in an ESP kill switch.

Two or three weeks later the same thing happened once. I flipped the ESP kill switch, pulled over, shut off and restarted the jeep. That was a two weeks ago and been fine since.

Sound like a clock spring or no?

I have an appointed to take it into the dealer in 6 hours.

Take it to dealer....Yay or nay????
