if you can cough up the 400 bucks, yeti is the way to go. Bear proof and holds ice for days

X3 yeti is bad ass, price hurts but no reason it can't last a lifetime.

I have a Coleman and an Igloo (both 48qt.) that I've used for over ten years. Spent less than $50 on each. Both are still in perfect shape.
I just saw three people jogging outside my window and it inspired me... to get up and close the blinds.

Yeti is a bad ass cooler, but it has a pretty big price tag, Brute is very similar to Yeti but a little cheaper. I know Brute is made in the USA and Im about 90% sure Yeti is as well, so you cant go wrong with either.

I use this; IglooŽ Marine Ultra 54-Cooler (sorry for the Bass Pro Ad)

Holds enough beer and water for 8 hours on the water plus lunch and snacks for 2.

The ultra marine series has stainless steel hardware so it won't rust and the lid is extra thick. When it's sitting on the deck in the sun, that helps keep the ice from melting.

You can even find these on sale sometimes for less than $40.00.

I have a bigger one (72 qrt.) for over night trips offshore. Takes 2 people to carry it.

We use a 62 qt Coleman Xtreme when camping, ice lasts all weekend and it fits nicely in our pop-up's doorway. Last I checked they were about $50 at Wal-mart and around $60 at Cabelas.
