We were just out in Moab for the Modern Jeepers 1st annual Moab trip. It was a good time and good turn out with people from all over the country and even Canada. Stock to wild rigs and good weather.Click image for larger version.

Damn nice work! I'm new on here but after reading through your entire thread I'm blown away. Funny how at the end you mention a job after 5 years. The first thing I was going to ask is what on earth do you do for a living to be able to support your hobby? That is one fine Jeep you got and a lot of $ in her. I really wish I had the time and funding to pull this off. I'm up in Washington but looking to come down to MOAB next year.

Look me up if you ever come down to run the Rubicon, its just across the lake from me. Moab is fun times but I am getting tired of the long drive to get there.
I am back to working construction running heavy equipment.

I had some trouble with the jeep lately, first I had the clutch master go out and then after fixing that my fuse panel went out. I had been experiencing some battery drain the last year or so and then the jeep would not start unless the battery voltage was above 12.7 volts. I sent the panel off to be rebuilt and they could not fix it so I ended up having to buy a new one for $500. Plugged it in a the jeep fired right up. This all happened right when smog and registration was due so I had to pull the registration for non op till I got it fixed so I hope to have it back ready to run next week.

I have also got a new project, 1957 Willy's wagon. I have swapped a 4.0 from a TJ into it with a 3 speed auto and dana 300 TC. I am still working on making it work with the pedals, brake booster, and shifter. I also re did the suspension with a double triangulated rear and 3 link front with some cheap fox coil overs.

I would agree my plan is to come down to MOAB during EJS. Figured that is the Sturgis version for Jeeps so might as well go while I'm out this way. At some point my family and I will be heading back to East Coast when I retire from the Military. Plenty of trails up here in the PACNORWEST to travel on as well.

Awesome work you have done and I look forward to seeing that 1957 Willy's sometime. I will defiantly hit you up when I come down that way if close enough to meet up.
