    axles for jku sport upgrade

Hey jk freaks i'm looking to upgrade my 2016 jku with some rubicon locking axles or 1tons that i can fabricate to work. I found a guy selling axles off his 2001 ford f350 and i was wondering if these would be a good choice. Give me some advice here guys as i'm new at this jeeping thing.

Rubicon axles come up every now and again. Just keep an eye on the forums, Craigslist and Fakebook. They usually go pretty fast if they are reasonably priced.

I know tons can be used on a Jeep (they are typically wider than JK axles) but I'm not sure which ones work the best. You'll find several threads around (look for Fusion4x4's thread) on builds that used tons. Also, You might also contact Artec and other manufacturers that make swap kits. They may be able to tell you what axles will work.

I’m seriously considering buying a set of 2001 Ford 350HD axles for $1200. It’s got a Dana 60 in frt. and a Sterling 10.5 in the rear. What do you all think. Is this a good choice? I’d like to go with 5.38 gears and Eaton e-lockers. And run 38” tires.

Here is the route I went to maintain it as a daily driver and have not experienced any issues running 37's other than the unrelated steering box. I run a Tru Trac LSD

Before the D30 haters get started, I have friend who did the same only CTM's and ran Arkansas Off-road Park a dozen times, Moab Easter Jeep (Potato Salad Hill), Silverton CO twice and no issues. He also drives these trip from Monroe LA. Rund OX Lockers.

My only regret is not welding on the lower control arm skids when it was out of the jeep. They sit on the shelf to this date.

That's not a hard trial. Its really just a momentum climb. There is a guy with an old Toyota that runs that back wards. A 4 door jeep with the longer wheel base climbs it even easier.
