    jk front axle wont seat

All, I attempted to search this subject but clearly do not know how to use it properly.

I replaced by ball joints in my 2013 rubicon unlimited today with some dynatracs and all went well until I went to reinstall the passenger side axle shaft. I didnt have any difficulty removing it and I have confirmed the two guide rings came out during removal. I have also looked down the axle tube to ensure a 3rd guide ring wasnt in there also.

My problem is the axle goes in and I can feel it engage the carrier and I am able to turn the carrier but the shaft stops short of fully inserting. seems to be approx 1.0" from being seated.

Any ideas?Click image for larger version.

I'd take off the diff cover to see what's going on. Be careful and don't mess up the inner axle seal trying to get it to seat.
    love.
