Make sure whatever you get it comes with an anti-flicker harness. The JK uses PWM (pulse width modulation) on most of the power feeds. It's not noticeable on an incandescent bulb, but on LEDs, you'll see a flicker.

Only had my 2017 Sport S Unlimited for about 2 weeks but I can tell you, the 2017 OEM LED headlights are AWESOME! The light output is fantastic, the color is excellent, the cutoff is great and the spread onto the shoulders of the road is a godsend for deer country. They come with LED fogs too that are equally impressive. The high beams on the LEDs could light up a roadsign a mile down the road! Not sure the cost from the dealer or online since mine came with them, but Jeep did their homework when they built these. Better than my old trucklights on my Grand Wagoneer... which I loved as well. Never tried the JW Speaker so can't comment on those.

Other then the factory Mopar ones which are around $800.00 I think JWspeaker are rated as the best. Be careful buying the ones listed on Amazon as most are not DOT legal, especially the imported Chinese junk. And I recently found out at the dealer that upgrading models that did not come with LED' s is a one way deal. They are not serviceable and you cannot go back to stock. I am looking at a cheaper alternative like Quadratec's but I want some feedback first.

Folks, I think of installing a set of LED lights instead of my factory ones. You know, those sealed beams, the 7-inch ones, with the LEDs in both high and low beams.
First when I opened the thread, I thought that you folk sdiscuss these lights here.... But seems like you are talking about the LED bulbs, not the headlight assemblies with the built-in LEDs.
Still, I decided to post here not to create the thread with a similar name and not to confuse anyone here.
I am sure that there are people, who drive with the led lights in, and I wanted to know, is the light quality okay? I mean, I do not plan switching to the cheap taiwan lights, I consider a quality set. Yet I am not sure about the way these LEDs work as low and hi beams - do they focus fine? Is the visibility okay? Because if it's not, I'd rather consider something different at this point.

Kenton, this whole thread is about complete assemblies, not just bulbs. Replacing just the bulb, IMHO, is a waste.

Saying that, if you get a set from a reputable manufacturer (Trucklite, JW Speaker) you're going to be exceedingly happy. I have heated Trucklites and couldn't be happier with how easy they were to install and just how bright they are. HUGE improvement over the stock lights. The cheap chinese junk you see on Amazon and eBay are hit and miss. They might work fine for a few months, but I wouldn't expect them to last.

Thanks for replying, man! Yea, I do not want cheap lights, that's what I said, and thanks for mentioning the brand names.
Don't these lights require a special load resistor or something to be put on the JK with no probs? I mean, you know, those typical LED problems like hyperflickering and stuff...

Get LED headlights before you get any other lights. You won't need any other lights with LED headlights.

Most quality lights come either with an anti-flicker harness or one built in.

I just saw three people jogging outside my window and it inspired me... to get up and close the blinds.

Make sure you get one with the anti flicker harness either built in or included. Some versions of JW Speaker don't require an external adapter.
