Very nice article. You give a lot of good tips. Too bad most people are just idiots when it comes to driving in snow.

We got between 10 and 20 inches in my neck of the woods from Saturday to Tuesday. Lake effect snow and people too dumb to slow down are not a good mix. I always wanted to drive around and help people, but I never seem to have the time.

A friend of my wife was at my house during the latest storm, and we told her please call when you get home. She called to tell us she just passed a SUV and a jacked up 4x4 pickup off the road, stuck in the deep snow, in her little Toyota Corolla. Of course, she was driving slowly. All she could do was wave and laugh at them as she drove by....

Messing around in parking lots and learning to control the vehicle is the best advice ever, IMHO.

I learned excellent winter skills by messing around with the e brake in my first car and also recommend to everyone that they go into a snowy lot and play around to build their skills.
