For 2007-2015 jeep JK From Rock slide engineering/Impulse Off Road.

This brace is to keep your Rubicon/non Rubicon t-case from going BOOM ... Simply put A lot of jeepers run aftermarket driveshafts, lack of maintenance, centering ball failure, unbalanced, deeper gears (higher RPM's). There's nothing bracing the 2 halves together if something bad like a DS failure were to happen.
$200 VS whatever a new TC cost ... Safe insurance.

Install (1-10) maybe a 5
Lucky me, my case had 2 dampeners attached to the rear of the case. 08 and up, I don't believe have them. Both had to come off. Plenty of heat/seized bolts, swearing and trying to keep my feet warm (20° outside) The instructions are pretty clear. 2012 + may or may not need to run a drill bit and tap through 2 upper studs. Rockslide provides the drill, tap, all hardware, and Spacers if needed . I needed to use 3 of the spacers up against the front in-between the bracket and case. I highly recommend you run the tap through any unused threads. It just make s**t so much easier.

I ran out of propane .. Driveshaft still has to be bolted up. I only had to remove it to replace the yoke. Most won't need to drop the shaft.

Looks like a solution looking for a problem. You really don't see too many reports of exploded transfer cases. How much does this thing weigh?

This being the final component in my driveline reinforcement over the past year , it is in shipment at present. Of course , having breakfast and looking up install, who do I find but you , sir. ?
So, just saying hello ( strange to do so on another forum ) & kudos for the install impression above. I agree on insurance aspect and this is the type part that you forget about installing because it does what it's supposed to and you never know it. Jeep On , buddy.

on the three " through bolts" that are the longest three and that go thru to front side , did you chase the threads with a tap that wasn't included with kit or just remove the three clamping case halves together and replace with the three long 10mm bolts with existing threads ? Instructs suggest but IU don't have tap for 10mm ...everything is all disassembled, arg !Lol
