    Turkey Bay LBL

Was just thinking i grew up riding fourwheelers at turkey bay in land between the lakes in KY. I havent been there in about 5 years or so, i was just wondering if anybody wheels there. If so how is it now? Im trying to decide when i take leave to Southern IL to see family if i want to take the jeep and go wheeling. I know i know why would i not take the jeep and the answer is simple because im a broke airman and not sure if i can afford to drive 14hrs at 12-15 mpg

Pass through Louisville and this prior airmen will go with you. Best time is early Spring and Fall. That is when the water levels are lowest and more trails are accessible.

The rangers, or whatever they are, are cracking down on "wreckless" wheeling. So dunno how much that has changed things. All in all, it is a great place to go to and connected to a very beautiful lake and scenery!

I go twice a year. This year, it's 4/26-29 and 10/11-14. Be sure to let us know your plan. I'd like to try to sneak in another trip.

I may be able to take leave and head down. A guy I work with was just talking about that place today.
