View Full Version : Lika's Monster - 41" of Flexy Goodness!

REBEL OFF ROAD

When it comes to REBELCON's, Lika's Monster is King! HEMI powered and one of the first JK's on RECON coilovers, Lika now sits on his throne with 41" of travel. Yep, he can run over his own 40" tires with an inch to spare. What did it take to do this? Custom length triangulated chrome moly 4 link system with heavy duty flex joints mated to 14" rear 2.0 coilovers with our Xtreme cage and front GenRight mounts on Rebel spec'd 12" 2.5 IBP King coilovers. We did have to relocate his fuel tank for the passenger side mounts, so we opted for the fantastic GenRight fuel cell.

Enjoy!

That's some insane flex......for those of us who aren't built that hardcore, what kind of number should we be looking for? Eg: what does a stock jeep come out with??

Because of your post, we grabbed a bone stock 2013 Rubicon (54 miles on the odometer) that we are getting ready to build and stuck it on the fork lift.

Thanks for that Bond, I'll have to find a forklift or a jack and see if I'm on my way of aspiring to be like Lika or if I should just stay here in the kiddie pool.

What skid plate is that in the location of where the stock exhaust sits beneath the trunk?

Doesnt look like the front is fully flexed or even flexed at all in the pic. Did you disco the sway bar and fully tilt it or is this just a snapped pic during the process.

You guys at rebel should seriously consider building a rig simliar to that one (but in a 2 door model) out here on the east coast. Specifically in Delaware and have said Delaware jeep owner showcase the built JK at Rausch Creek, Big Dogs, and other offroad spots.

Hey! I live in Delaware on the east coast, and would you look at that, I have a 2 door JK..... It may take some favors but I think I could get my wife to let me do it.

That's the underside of the GenRight JK fuel cell.

The front still had more travel to go - front sway bar (Teraflex Dual Rate) was disconnected.

I got 43.5" with a short arm, coil springs, & shocks. And all my springs stayed seated. I thought you could get more with a coilover setup.

Lots of things go into the set up to determine articulation, useing coil-overs really has nothing to do with it other then you can control your coils easier.

This was 38" on 8 OEM JK control arms and 37s. Kinda figured 40" on 41s tires on a Unlimited wheel base wasn't too "omg crazy". :music:
